The Crawford Township Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% Volunteer Fire Department offering opportunities for everyone who would like to serve their community. Not all of our members put on turnout gear and ride the big red trucks. We offer three primary types of memberships which are listed with a brief description below. Membership Types:
Firefighter/Firefighter Trainee- This member holds a current firefighter certification or is studying to obtain their North Carolina Firefighter Certification and responds to emergency calls. (all training is free of charge)
Junior Firefighter- This member is between the ages of 14 and 17 and assists our certified firefighters with support operations on emergency scenes. These young men and women are doing preliminary training to prepare for their firefighter certification once they turn 18.
Junior Firefighter Application
Auxiliary- The Crawford Auxiliary is compiled of men and women who want to support our department but are not interested in running as an emergency responder. The conduct and assist with fundraisers, meals, and set up our rehab unit on large emergency scenes to provide drinks and rehab to our firefighters.
